The Boutique Mammography Center is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence and staffed with qualified, caring registered technologists who perform medically responsible imaging exams. Mammograms are reviewed and interpreted by board-certified radiologists of South Texas Radiology Group, PA (STRG).
STRIC offers Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT), commonly referred to as 3D, for both screening and diagnostic exams.

Screening Mammogram
An annual screening mammogram is recommended by the American College of Radiology (ACR) at age 40. A screening mammogram is for patients with no current or new breast symptoms or changes. It consists of four (4) views, two views of each breast. Our qualified and caring staff are ready to help you make this process as hospitable and comfortable as possible.
Diagnostic Mammogram
What is the difference between screening and diagnostic mammogram? Screening mammography is intended for women 40 and over who have no symptoms. Diagnostic mammography is for women who have symptoms such as pain, lump, discharge or dimpling, or who have been asked to return for additional imaging as a result of their screening mammogram.

Breast Ultrasound
Breast ultrasound helps the radiologist diagnose a breast lump found on a self or clinical breast exam or a nodule identified on a mammogram. It can identify other abnormalities in the breast or axilla seen on the mammogram. It is also clinically indicated as an additional tool for patients who have dense breast tissue.
Breast Core Biopsy
A breast core biopsy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses imaging equipment, either stereotactic or ultrasound, to locate the area to be evaluated. Two available methods of minimally invasive biopsy. STRIC coordinates patients care with surgeons and oncologists and nurse navigators and genetic counseling is available. Same day biopsy appointments are available.
